Chef Daniel’s Kitchen: Food Bloggers’ Lunch

I intend to keep this post short and sweet. Not gonna dwell much about the food and you know, the usual stuff. ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m so glad that I could make it for my first ever food bloggers’ meetup. We settled for lunch at Chef Daniel’s Kitchen. It was a novel experience for me; a little intimidating in the beginning but it was quite funny to see everyone taking out their big guns slowly and shooting away as soon as the food is being served. We even left our seats so that we can walk around and take pictures of one another’s mains. My oh my. I don’t think my friends can ever tolerate that. Well, if they can, I will love them forever. I found myself smiling and I couldn’t resist taking candid shots, but failed lah. Sad. T___T

Everyone had the Delicious Set Lunch ($10.50 nett) which includes soup of the day (Cream of Onion), main course, dessert of the day (Raspberry Mousse) and a drink. Value for money!

I decided to go for the Tonkatsu Don upon Daniel’s recommendation. Umm no, not Chef Daniel.. Haha. What I loved about the pork cutlet was that it wasn’t exactly very deep fried, and there was a hint of lemon in every slice. The egg was very thin and runny, not the type that I usually see on my bowl of japanese rice. I’m quite happy with my choice! I might pop by again to try out some of the other mains if I walk into Iluma again. Hehe.

Thank you Harris, for extending this invitation to me. And thank you all, for making this a wonderful experience ๐Ÿ˜€

Here’s a photo collage and I have included photos of what some of the rest had as their mains. Go ahead and read the reviews on their blogs, which I think will be up sooner or later. Haha ๐Ÿ™‚
