Did you not get my message? I said NO.

Oh sharks. This is depressing. The first to be on my blacklist is neither a cafe nor a restaurant but an online dining guide which prides itself as “Asia’s No.1 Dining Guide (is) in Singapore!“.

Generally speaking, I’m okay with people eating shark’s fins. It is their personal choice. But I dont see a need to promote this consumption. You wanna cook it in your own kitchen, that’s your business.

    • I used to enjoy eating shark’s fins too but that was before i got my diving license. And this is also the reason why I don’t go round condemning ppl who consume shark’s fins. 🙂

  1. I got invited too but I couldn’t make it. I’m okay with sharks’ fin but feel that the issue of conserving sharks is so obviously important, how could Openrice have not bothered to think about this issue before posting the recipe?

  2. jl, you are so sensible. I’m proud of you! Anyway i was more enraged by the hypocritical side of OpenRice (if you examine the tweets closely). And I think that they lack professionalism. I had intended to withdraw my account from their website but I cant find the Delete button anywhere! I could only remove my particulars. Even my reviews are still there.

  3. hey not a fan of shark’s fins too…in fact, i boycott that too no matter the fact they claim it be the vegetarian version or whatsoever! no is a NO!

  4. just came across ur blog. what has ur driver’s license got to do with eating shark’s fin. cannot comprehend. sorry, just being kaypoh. haha! :p
