Hola chewys! Recently, I found myself hooked onto Pickat SG which simply means Pick Your Place! Pickat SG is a location based social mobile phone application that allows for easy discovery, creating, and sharing of interesting places in Singapore. You may start downloading now (Apple / Google play) so that you can play around with the features while reading this post at the same time!

If you wanna share an awesome place, you gotta make a Pick! A Pick is like a check-in to share your experience of the place that you have visited. Simply click on the red bubble on the bottom right hand corner to start creating your Pick!

Creating a Pick is as easy as ABC but at first I stumbled when I had to choose a Theme.

Think of Themes as short reviews, quick tips, or your own perspective of a place. If a friend asks, “What should we eat?”, and you say “I feel like something light for lunch.” So an appropriate theme would be “Light and Healthy Lunch Options”. In simple terms, Themes are short snippets of our moods, perspectives, or descriptions. The above are some examples of my Themes!

Sometime back, misterchewy and I dined at Stellar @ 1-Altitude and we both thought the ambience was pretty romantic! I wanted to share this place with everyone and created a Pick for this place. Simply type in the place in the search bar.

Select the correct place that you want to Pick!

Since Stellar @ 1-Altitude left us with a lasting impression that it is a romantic place, naturally my Theme for this place is Romantic Dining in Singapore! Anyone who want to take his date to a romantic place will be able to see my Pick.

You can upload up to 4 photos each time you create a Pick. There is a ‘choose from album’ option so you may create Picks and upload photos at your convenience!

Rate how much you like the place by tapping on Liked! or So-So. Pickat allows you to share your Picks with your friends on Facebook and Twitter!

I usually leave the review to the last because there were a few occasions I created my Pick and forgot to share it on other social media platforms! I like to keep my reviews short and sweet.

You know that you have successfully created your Pick when it appears in the Public Feed! Hurray!
